GOOD MORNING Latam! (FX HIGHLIGHTS BRL MXN ARS CLP COP PEN)... (0100-QHYC-C01)

+ GBP enlivened the market early on as BoE Gov Carney delivered his postponed Mansion House Speech. His remark that 'now is not the time to be raising interest rates' should not have been a surprise given his vote at last week's MPC meeting, but it saw Cable drop from around 1.2750 to a low at 1.2665 before a small bounce, while EUR/GBP briefly broke above .8800.

+ USD/JPY topped out at 111.78 but has not stepped back very far as risk appetite remains healthy despite some profit taking on equities ahead of the N.American open. GBP/JPY has lagged the other JPY crosses but still remains a long way clear of the bigger support levels that were under pressure last week.

+ EUR/USD remains relatively becalmed, the low just extended to 1.1138 but still easily covered by 30 pips on the day.

+ The SNB's Jordan has been on the wires with very familiar views on the need to keep interest rate differentials wide to deter CHF strength, delivering the usual warning that intervention is still a possibility.

The CAD has slipped back slightly, USD/CAD holding clear of 1.32 and also giving back some ground to the AUD and NZD; NZD traders have a dairy auction to watch.
